Feb. 02, 1957 - 17 Die when giant freighter hits houses: 17 people were killed today when a giant R.A.F. Beverley transport plane, crashed in flames and ploughed into houses in the village of Drayton, near Abingdon. Two of those who died were occupants of the wrecked houses and the others were aboard the aircraft. Photo shows view of the scene at Drayton, after the crash today
