Jul. 12, 1956 - Forty People Killed And Many Injured In Greek Island Earthquake: At least forty people were killed ad many injured when an earthquake struck the Aagean island of Santorini and destroyed or party damaged 40 per cent of the buildings. The Greek ed cross have erected emergency hospitals under canvas and medical supplies have been rushed to the island to treat the injured.
