Nov. 11, 1957 - 15 Killed When Britannia Airliner Crashes: The 15 crew and technologies aboard a Bristol Britannia Whispering Giant prototype airliner, were killed when the airliner crashed in a wood and exploded at Downend, near Bristol yesterday.
