Sep. 09, 1956 - The mud overflowed the work settlement of the biggest lime factory in Europe, the Rheinisch - Westfalische Kalkwerke on Honne-Valley near Menden/Westfallen. Yesterday in the evening a one meter large pipe was broken and the contents of the 450m long and 150 m broad sea from mud is flooded in the settlement. 22 families with 85 persons are evacuated till now, the injure is three to four millions DMarks.
