Sep. 09, 1956 - The mud overflowed the work settlement of the biggest lime factory in Europe, the Rheinisch - Westfalische Kalkwerke on Honne-Valley near Menden/Westfallen. Yesterday in the evening a one meter large pipe was broken and the contents of the 450m long and 150 m broad sea from mud is flooded in the settlement. 22 families with 85 persons are evacuated till now, the injure is three to four millions DMarks. Photo shows the flood into the settlement of the lime factory
