Mar. 03, 1958 - Three hundred and fifty die as ferry sinks.: At last three hundred and fifty people lost their lives yesterday when the Turkish Ferry Boat the Uskudar sank in the Izmit Bay of the Sea of Marmura. It is believed that the vessel hit a waterspout during a sudden storm - overtuned and sank so suddenly that the most of the passengers were trapped inside.
