Jul. 11, 1957 - Earthquake in Persia - Kills 250.: Over 250 people lost their lives in the earthquake in the Teheran and Caspian Sea areas of Persia recently. The centre of the quake was at Demavend, 80 miles north of the capital. Two villages were destroyed by a landslide.
