Aug. 21, 1957 - Man Is Feared Missing When A Dinghy Capsized During The International Channel Swim Race. A man is missing from one of the boats accompanying the swimmers in the cross Channel race and is feared lost overboard in a heavy swell when his dinghy capsized. Mrs. Florence Louise Burdette, of U.S.A. had to retire from the race when her boat accompanying her with her husband and trainer on board capsized.
