Dec. 12, 1957 - Moorland Search for Murder Weapon.: An area of four-square miles on Muggleswick Common, Co. Durham, was searched by Policemen for the gun used to murder Sydney John Dunn, a 36-year old taxi-driver, of Newcastle. Dunn;s body was found 150 yeards from his abandoned taxi about two miles from Edmundbyers. He had a bullet wound in the head. Photo shows Police seen holding onto a rope to ensure nowhere is missed during the search on Tuesday
