Dec. 12, 1958 - Eight Dead In Britannia Crash: Eight men were killed on Christmas Eve, when a BOAC Britannia airliner crashed in thick fog just outside Winkton Village, near Christchurch, Hants. Four other men on board were injured and taken to hospital. The plane, with a training crew of 12, was on a circular trip from London Airport.
