Mar. 03, 1957 - French crew of a small schooner slaughtered by Arab Sailors: Five French seamen sailing on the x Marc Eric, a small schooner owned by the Oran Shipping Company, were slaughtered by three Arab sailors, members of the crew in high sees off Beni Saf. The schooner ledt adrift was brought to Malaga by a Costa Rican trawler. The Arab sailors detained in Malaga may be extradited. It is believed that the murder of the European crew was ordered by Algerian rebels who tried to get hold of the ship for transport of arms. Photo shows the Marc Eric in the harbour of Oran
