Aug. 08, 1958 - Six Injured In Train Crash. Six people were injured when the 6.52 am train from Sanderstead, Surrey to Cannon street split in two only 300 yards from the station. As it passed round a bend at Borough Market Junction two of the rear coaches came off the rails. It happened on a bridge immediately over Borough Produce Market.
