Feb. 26 Three Children Die In Oil-Heater Fire In Holloway: Three children, none more than two years old, died yesterday in a basement fire which started in a drip-feed oil heater - the type recently branded as dangerous in a Government report. The fire started in the basement of a terrace house in Oldershaw-road, Holloway. There were seven children in the basement of the house, which is the home of Mr. Samuel Chung and his wife, Roslynd, both Jamaicans. Four of the children were rescued and treated in hospital for burns and shock. Mrs. Chung, 41, who helped to rescue them, also needed hospital treatment. She had been looking after seven children. Photo shows Some of the children injured in the fire are brought home by ambulance after receiving hospital treatment yesterday
