Feb. 28 Gas blast in ice cream factory creates panic. Fifteen taken to Hospital in Sydney - Australia.: Fifteen people were taken to hospital and more than forty were treated on the spot when the were badly affected by clouds of ammonia which swept through Peter's Ice Cream Factory at Redfen, Sydney, Australia recently. Ten girls were trapped in the top florr and 56 on the department below fled panic stricken into the street. The fumes escaped when the top of a compressor blew off- rapidly filling the building. Ambulances - first aid and fire brigade personnel were soon on the spot administrating oxygen to the victims.
