Dec. 12, 1959 - The Captain of Wrecked Freighter is Taken off his Ship by Freeches Buoy The Corageous captain who refused to leave his gale-battered ship as she began breaking up on the rocky coast of Aberdenshire was save yesterday. He was taken off by breeches buoy after staying alon on the stricken Finish freighter Anna for 26 hours. Captain Johan Veurio agreed to leave only because he was ordered off by the owners. The Anaa, carrying 1, 400-tons of timber, went aground in Monday night's gale. Captain Veurio saw the 17 members of his crew rescued by breeches bucy on Tuesday.
