Dec. 30, 1959 - Two Killed - Eight Injured When Bridge Section Crashes Near Manchester. Two men lost their lives and eight were injured today when a section of a bridge collapsed at Barton, near Manchester. The men were trapped under tons of rubble - masonry and steel girders.
