Rescuers Lose Three Was Race Against Death: Woman Crashes 250 Feet Down Cliff Face. A dramatic race against death was made at North Head, Sydney-Australia recently in an effort to save gravely injure Mrs. Ida May Reed - who fell 250 feet over the cliff side. The accident happened side - during a fishing expedition - when the rope raised the alarm - police launches - and a pilot steams steamer rushed from South Head - while Police worked from the cliff to to rescue the seriously injured woman. During the rescue attempts - Robert Reed collapsed to the ground in his anxiety. The woman was rushed to hospital - where she died soon after. Photo Shows: The scene as Mrs. Reed is raised to the cliff top by the police rescue squad. She was rushedto hospital - but died later
