Mar. 31 Fourteen Die in Mille Miglia Car Race Crash. Twelve spectators six of them children were killed, and the two driver lost their lives, when the Ferrari driven by the Marquis Alfonso de Portago crashed into them, after a tire had burst, during the Italian Mille Miglia road race near Brescia, Italy last night. The co-driver was American Edmund G. Nelson. Seven people were killed during last year's Mille Miglia, and more than 20 have lost their lives in the past 5 years.
