Apr. 16 Tragic Accident during the 1000 kilometers of Buenos Aires car race: The first car race in Argentine Capital's Autodromo this year, the 1000 kilometers de Buenos Aires was won by two Porache cars placing first and second. At the same moment a Ferrari Matra driven by the Italian Giunti hit Beltoise's car in full speed, Giunti was killed and his car completely destroyed.
