Apr. 18 Dam of the Europe Channel is Broken.: In the Southern part on Nuremberg, Katzwang is at the afternoon of March the 26th 1979 a part of the new built Rhein-Main-Donsu-channel borken. The official boards released catastrophe-alarm. About 8 to 10 houses in Katzwang where crashed down by the water. After the reports of eyewitnesses the water wave where partially 2 meters high. The site of fracture is after the statement of the police about 10 to 15 metres broad. Altogether 2000 to 3000 person where afflicted by this accident.
