Nov. 11, 1961 - Refugees from Tristan Da Gunha Settle in at Former Army Camp.: The 264 islanders rescued from the volcanic eruption on Tristan De Gunha arrived at their temporary home, a former Army camp near Merstham, Surrey, yesterday. They will live there until re-settled.
