Mar. 03, 1962 - Two Brothers Die In Blizzard On Moors: Two brothers died from Chipping Village, Lancs. to Langden Castle, a 12-mile round trip. The boys, Melvin, 18, and Leslie, 11 and their sister Sheila Smith, 15, had been missing since Sunday when they set out on the hike. Leslie, a sufferer from asthama; collapsed on the way back when the blizzard began and the children spent the night on a cave. Monday morning they had to leave Leslie as they couldn't wake him.
