Jul. 07, 1961 - Former Boac Chief Injured In Yacht Explosion: Former Boac chief Sir Gerard D'Erlanger was knocked unconscious by an explosion on his50, 000 yacht yesterday. The explosion was caused by a short-circuit in the batteries of the yacht, the Three Fishes, which was moored at Tagg's Island in the Thames near Hampton Court. Sir Gerard, 55, was taken to hospital and treated for a cut nose and a sprained ankle, then taken home. Photo shows Sir Gerard is carried into his home after he was treated at hospital
