Accidents - Disasters - Fires - Floods - Tragedies

Dec. 21, 1961 - A fire caused by a short circuit erupted at Paris's Casino during the night while Line Renaud, the star of the Pleasures show and the girls were going on stage for the finale. When Renaud was about to get on a trapeze that would lift her up and set her back down among the dancers a few minutes later, she saw flames coming from the arches and decorations. Thankfully, the performers and the audience evacuated the facility without a problem. The firefighters arrived immediately on scene and managed to control the fire. Only a few people were injured, but the damage was bad
