Aug. 08, 1962 - Pilotless Jet crashes: One dead; A pilotless American jet fighter crashed at Stanton near Bury St. Edmunds, yesterday, destroying three bungalows and killing one of several man who were painting them. The pilot, aged 22, landed unhurt by parachute a few miles away. The bungalows were set alight and the jet exploded.
