Dec. 05, 1960 - Widespread damage in South Wales Flood.: Thousands of people have been rendered homeless in the latest floods which stretch across almost the past few weeks. Worst hit areas now are Wales - the West and Midlands. At least 150 main roads and hundreds of minor roads are blocked - Railway lines blocked and telephone service distupted.
