Aug. 08, 1965 - ROOFTOP MAN DEFIES POLICE. Police and firemen were this afternoon defied by a man, armed with a knife and stick, on the roof of a terraced house in Church-road, Manor Park. A crowd which gathered below were pelted with tiles he had prised from the roof with the stick. Eventually he was persuaded to come down by two men.
