Sep. 22, 1965 - Three die when train hits bus.: Three people were burned to death today, in a bus which was struck by a train at Roundstone leel-crossing, East Preston, Sussex. Eight were seriously injured - six of them women. The bus was pushed along the line for fifty yards, and burst into flames. The crash happened at 9.30 a.m. The 8.47 Brighton of Partsmouth electric train was running late because of fog. The green bus, almost a housewives shopping special was on a regular Southdown Motors run from Brighton to Portsmouth. The bus was almost clear of the crossing when it was hit by the train near the rear.
