May 05, 1970 - In A Cage For A Cause: Factory farming and famine go together is the theme of a five-day exhibition, organised by the Compassion in World Farming Trust, being held at the Ceylon Tea Centre, Regent Street, London. A highlight of the exhibition is a human cage built to scale with those in common use, under factory farming codes. The exhibition is aimed at proving to the plastic people (the Trust's name for unthinking consumers0 that factory farming, because of its uneconomic concept, and famine, go hand-in-hand - and that there are practical alternatives to both.
