1968 - 121 Escape From Blazing Plane: All but five of the 126 aboard escaped from a blazing BOAC 707 airliner which made a perfect landing at Heathrow airport after losing an engine yesterday. Seconds later three explosions rocked the aircraft and it was completely engulfed in flame. Those who died were four passengers, including a woman and a girl aged 9, and Barabara Harrison, a stewardess. The aircraft, which had taken off with 126 passengers and crew for Australia and New Zealand, turned back after the captain had reported an emergency.
