Feb. 22, 1969 - Three workers scorched in Munich subway-channel: On February 21th. during working in the subway-channel under the town hall of Munich, three workers burned in a deep of 26 metres. The disaster happened by an escape of gas. Forty workers could be saved, three-men (two brothers) Karl and Rudolf Alznauer (22 and 19 years) and Heinrich Israel (31) perished in the smoke. The whole day, a big column of smoke could be seen about the city of Munich. Our picture shows: a big column of smoke in front of the town-hall in Munich during the fire in channel
