Aug. 08, 1969 - Explosion in a blasting-powder factory cause 9 deads and 40 injured: Tuesday morning, a few minutes after the clocks announced the beginning of the work, the Federal explosive-factory in Dettiken, canton Aargau, was nearly totaly destroyed by a terrible explosion. The causes for this catastrophy are not known up to now. At least nine workers have been killed and about 40 injure. Four are still missing.
