Jan. 01, 1971 - A tragic accident during the recent autorace 1000 kilometers of Buenos Aires French racer caused death of the Italian Racer Ignacio Giunti. At the Autodrome of the Argentine Capital took place the first international autorace of this year, the so called 1000 kilometers de Buenos Aires race who was won by two Porsche cars who place the first and second post. It was during this race that one of the cars, a Matra of the French Beltoise consumed his combustible and due to it Beltoise could not continue the race and pushed his car to the next box. And at same moment came the Ferrari car of Giunti at full speed and hitted Beltoise car. Giunti was killed nearly instantaneously and his car completely destroyed. Actually Beltoise is searched by the Justice as he seems to be the main guilty and the Italian Ferrrari wants to have him processed and if possible to cancel him the authorization as autoracer.
