Oct. 10, 1971 - Explosion of the 31st Floor of London's Post Office Tower.: At about 4 o'clock this morning a big explosion teek place on the 31st floor of London's Post Office Tower just off Tettenham Court Read. The blast smashed windows ever a wide area around the Tower. It is thought that the blast was from a placed in the ladies toilets on that floor. As it happened so early in the morning nobody was injured the blast. Photo shows The damaged part of the Post Office Tower is framed through a broken window, which was broken by the blast
