Aug. 27, 1971 - One man killed and 36 injured when bomb explodes in electricity board offices in Belfast: One man was killed and 36 other people injured, most of them teen-aged girl clerks and typists, as a 15 lb. gelignite bomb exploded at the headquarters of the electricity board in Malone Road, Belfast on Wednesday last. The bomb, hidden in a locker on the first floor, went off 90 seconds after an anonymous telephone call that bombs had been planted on the building.
