Oct. 10, 1972 - Thirty killed in Kenya bus crash: Twenty four people died at once when a country bus crashed into a ditch between Nakuru and kericho about 130 miles from Nairobi last Friday. Sixteen more people were seriously injured, and of these six have since died in hospital. A furtehr 50 people were less severely injured. Hospital sources say that some of the injured are still in critical condition, and the death toll may yet riss further. In addition to the lives lost in this tragic accident, 19 more people were killed in Kenya over the same weekend in traffic accidents. A Kanu party official has called on the Ministry of Labour and the transport and Allied Workers Union to introduce regulations to protect people travelling on long distance buses
