Mar. 03, 1974 - Three soldiers shot in Belfast: A gunman who was hiding in the porch of a Roman Catholic church in Belfast yesterday, shot down three men of the 1st. Bn. Royal Horse Artillery. One man died on his way to hospital. The gunman opened fire with a sub-machinegun outside St. Mary's Chapel, in the heart of the city.
