Dec. 12, 1980 - Munich/West Germany: More than 200 Sheep Killed by a Train of the High Speed Railway. On December 4th. 1980 a dog broke into a flock of sheep and repacioused several animals. After that, the flock being seized with panic, broke through the railing fence and run 400 metres far from it to the rails of the high speed railway. Just in this moment a high speed railway train arrived with 120 km/h ad drove into the frightened flock. The train was derailed with the first both axes over the cadavers, and still it continued running some hundreds meters, before it could stop. Passengers were not hurt. The owner of the flock values his damage of about 50, 000 Dollars, because at the accident more than 200 sheep were killed. A damage of about 100, 000 incurred at the train. The dog, which was'responsible for the disaster, was caught by the police and now it is scrutinized for hydrophobia. OPS: Dead sheep in the snow beside the rails. Firemen remove the cadavers
