Adam Deane, opera singer, becomes pig farmer, Kent

Jan. 01, 1956 - Opera Singer now sings to his pigs.: Former opera singer, 38 year old Adam Deane loves the country so much that he decided to leave a singing career behind six months ago and become a pig farmer. He has found a new audience, his 18 pigs. He begins work at 6 a.m. and sings to his animals excerpts from the many operas. No matter in which job he is engaged throughout the day he keeps on singing. Why? He believes it calms the pigs which, as a result will eat and breed better. As time goes on he intends to increase his number. Adam is a baritone singer and lives at Barn Cottage, Boxley, Maidstone, Kent. Photo shows just a song at feeding time from the pig's owner, opera baritone singer Adam Deane
