Aug. 27, 1970 - Shock Posters Warn Against Danger Of Drugs: Hard-hitting posters designed to frighten schoolchildren away from experiments with drugs may be displayed in schools and youth clubs during the Autumn. The posters are part of a campaign by the National Lifeline, a charity which runs centres for ex-prisoners and drug addicts. The pictures are posed and are not real addicts. Photo shows LSD can take you places you never dreamt of, says the caption: The message underneath reads: Lysergic Acid Diethylamide is a terrifyingly dangerous halucinogenic drug. Used for kicks it can induce paranoia, hysteria, phobias, delusions, psychosis, hallucinations, manic depressions. Don't experiment with it. You might end up where they know about these things
