Apr. 28, 1981 - 28th April 1981 Now! Magazine to close Sir James Goldsmith announced yesterday that he was stopping publication of the magazine Now!. He had made a loss of almost £6m since the launching in September 1979 and there was insufficient advertising. The editor Mr. Anthony Shrimsley broke the news to the 125 staff.
