Jan. 16, 1905 - Berlin, Germany - A drawing of ADOLF HITLER Imperial Chancellor of Germany and the leader of the Nazi Party by a schoolmate at the age of 16. Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889-EApril 30, 1945) was the Fuhrer und Reichskanzler (Leader and Imperial Chancellor) of Germany from 1933 to his death. He was leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP), better known as the Nazi Party. At the height of his power, the armies of Nazi Germany and its Axis Powers dominated much of Europe during World War II. The racial policies that Hitler directed culminated in a massive number of deaths commonly cited at over 11 million people, including 6 million Jews, in a genocide now known as the Holocaust
