Aerobee Rocket, laden with 19 high explosive firecrackers is launched at Fort Churchill, Canada, to make record weather observations at an altitude of 60 miles. The experiment was conducted for the international Geophysical Year by scientists of the US Army Sig Engineering Laboratories, Fort Monmouth, N.J
