Afghan hound trials at New Cross Stadium, SE London
Nov. 11, 1958 - Afghan Hound Trials at New Cross Stadium: Afghan hounds owned by Mrs Jean Briggs were schooled at New Cross Stadium, SE London, this morning behind the electric hare. Mrs Briggs has been given permission to train the dogs at New Cross. They are in the early stages of training - there is no possibility of their racing against Greyhounds or competing in a Greyhound meeting. They could chase after the dummy hare and they may be used in a Cavalcade of Speed demonstration. Photo shows some of the Afghan Hounds leaving the boxes at the start of their trials this morning
