May 05, 1953 - Britain is the Enemy - Says General Neguib. Egyptian Digtator Speaks on Suez Negotiation.: General Neguib the Egyptian Dictator thr a bombshell into the Suez Negotiation by telling Egypt that he had broken off the 14 day old talks with Britain and then threatening a battle for freedom'. He made the speech during the ceremonies in Liberation Square during the funeral of the Unknown Warrior who had fallen a martyr in the field of honour during the Palestine War. The coffin of the Unknown Soldier was brought to the Cairo Main Station -b- special train from Arish - and the coffin was interred in a specially built mausoleum at the Ghaffir Cemetery. Photo shows General Neguib - during his warlike speech in Liberation Square - in which he said Britain is the enemy
