Jan. 01, 1953 - GENERAL NEGUIB MAKES HIS SUDAN IS OURS SPEECH. PLANES OVERHEAD DURING LIBERATION CELEBRATIONS. GENERAL NEGUIB, the Dictator-Premiere of Egypt proclaimed a Liberation Front to replace the country dissolved political parties. During his speech Neguib shouted Sudan is Ours, a statement that was greeted with cheers - booming guns etc. by the 100, 000 who attended the parade in Liberation Square - held to mark the end of the first six months of Liberation.
