1955 - Howard Jones the schoolboy who ran away on visit to Egypt: The 14 year old schoolboy Howard Jones, who ran away from his home at Kenton, Middlesex, to hitch hike to Spain and was afterwards invited to see archaeological remains in Egypt, by Colonel Nasser, the Egyptian Government visited the new discoveries of the solar boats and the Pyramids of Guizeh, during his visit to Egypt. He is accompanied on his visit by his mother. Photo shows an Egyptian policeman points out an item of interest to Howard Jones, who i seated on a camel, neat the big Pyramid
