Africa - Egypt
Feb. 25 South Africa--Surrounded by children: is this inhabitant of South Africa - Privately and on duty! His home is in Soweto, a native ghetto with one million inhabitants, twenty miles from the city of Johannisburg. In Soweto he is teacher in a Bantu-School. When the lessons are over and the pupils are gone, this man feels himself not lonely. No less than 13 boys and girls (who are to see in the picture) wait at home of their father. And if he would be out of work, for the black pupils of the elementary schools make a school-boycott (as to see in the last weeks and months), he will have his hands full of work night and day
