Aug. 08, 1960 - U.A.R. Battalion for the Congo: Lt. Gen. Mohamed Farid Salama, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, recently inspected men of the United Arab Republic battalion, which was due to leave for the Congo to join the United Nations Forces there.
