May 04, 1964 - New Prime Minister of the Yemen; Hammud El Jaffy, the new Prime Minister of the Yemani Arab Republic, was appointed to form the new Yemeni Cabinet by Presient Abdulla El Sallal on April 27, following the meeting during which Yemen's constitution was approved. Born in the Yemen in 1918, El Jaffy graduated from the Baghdad Military School in 1938. He assumed several security posts and took part in the underground movement in the Yemen. He was imprisoned following the abortive Coup in 1948 and remained in Jail until 1955. Jaffy has been the Yemen Ambassador to the United Arab Republic since 1963. British Troops Beheaded; It has been reported the rebel tribesmen shot down a British Officer and a soldier in a mountain ambush north of Aden, out off their heads, and carried them away as trophies, and they have been stuck on sticks and displayed in Taiz, one of the Yemen's twin capitals
