Jan. 01, 1965 - Congo Rebels ready to march Leaders Talks to Arab Press in Cairo: Congolese rebels forces under Gaston Soumialot and Nicholas Odenga plan according to reports to launch another offensive from Sudanese border toward Stanleyville this month. Gaston Soumialot and Nicholas Olenga are now in Cairo obtaining support of the UAR and explaining to the Arab press the for the Congo revolution. Soumialot told the Arab Press that the revolution was no mutiny but a Legitimate revolution expressing the will of the people and desire of the entire people of the Congo.
